After dropping the invite-only requirement, Pinterest made another move.
The social-bookmarking service, has made expansion to iPad and Android smartphones.
Since the launch, Pinterest was only available on Web and on iPhone application. But few days ago, the company announced new Pinterest apps. One of them is Android application, build from the ground by the engineers at Pinterest, optimized to work on Android smartphones and tablets. This application can be found on Google Play Store.
Except Android, the iPad also got its own Pinterest application, with embedded browser in this version of the app.
Evan Sharp, Pinterest co-founder said “It’s a really different kind of browsing experience,” while telling the story when he first saw Steve Jobs demo the iPad. “It was really amazing because he was using that device exactly how we thought Pinterest would be used sometime in the future.”
The Pinterest iPhone application got updated and let you view 2 columns of pins. This new version will increase stability and speed.
