Its official! After many rumors over the past few months, iPhone 5 is here.

The new iPhone is 18% thinner, 20% lighter, with 44% more color saturation than the iPhone 4S, and has 4 inches retina display. The back, on the iPhone 5 is replaced with one that’s mostly metal.

 iPhone 5 will support 4G LTE networks and a two times faster chip than the current A5 chip. According to Apple, Music app will load 1.9 times faster, Web Pages 2.1 times faster thanks to the new A6 chip.

Apple is also promising that we are going to get 8 hours of 3G browsing, 8 hours of 3G talk time, 8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 10 hours of video playback, 40 hours of music playback, and 225 hours of standby time.

The iSight camera with 8 MP (resolution 3264 x 2448 pixels) includes features like backside illumination, a five-element lens, a hybrid IR filter, and a f2.4 aperture. The build-in panorama mode can stick more shots and together they can form 28 MP photo. The image signal processor can bring spatial noise reduction, while the smart filter can produce better low-light photos. 720 HD video can be shoot with the secondary front camera. although video resolution remains at 1080 HD, image stabilization has been improved. Now while making a video, you can take photos and use face detection for up to 10 people.

On the iPhone 5 you can find one microphone on the handset’s front face, one on the bottom and one the rear side. The speaker suppose to be better and the noise canceling feature should be improved.

Lightning is the long anticipated dock connector on iPhone 5, 80% smaller with same end on both sides of cable. It replaces the 30-pin connector, that Apple has used since 2003.

iPhone 5 will come with IOS 6. New iOS 6 features include: all new Maps app; new Siri features; Facebook integration for Contacts and Calendar; Shared Photo Streams via iCloud and Passbook, the simplest way to get all your passes in one place.

EarPods is the name of the latest line of earphones. Jony Ive, senior VP of industrial design at Apple said: “They look like no earphone you’ve ever seen before. ” The shape of the EarPod is actually defined by the geometry of your ear, but they don’t create a seal the way other in-ear headphones do.” The EarPods will automatically come with the new devices, or can be bought separately for $29.99.

The 16GB iPhone 5 is $199, the 32GB $299, the 64GB $399 and you can choose from black or white. Starting from September 14, can be preorder, and from September 21 will go on sale in: United States, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. Until the end of September iPhone 5 will be available in more countries and by the end of the year in 100 countries.
